Is it when –
1. He is old and has played a wonderful innings or bowled superbly in a match of a bilateral series? OR
2. He is old and he is playing a renowned tournament like ICC World Cup or ICC Champion’s Trophy?

The time when you are becoming 35+ years and is performing very well as if you start to performs starting bad then you would face criticism before retirement and you would be forced to retire but if you perform well now then you would be respected just like bradman
